Officers present: Pam Wengerd, Sharry Starner, Annette Smith, Mitzie 'Lee' Stickley

The meeting was brought to order by President Pam Wengerd who read the minutes from the last meeting held on 5/18/00. The minutes were followed by a documented Treasurer's Report presented by Annette Smith.

After the Treasurer's report President Wengerd gave her thoughts on the success of the Matinee and what types of improvements could be made for future Matinee races. The President then asked the other Officers for their opinions on the Matinee and what feedback they had received from club members after the Matinee.

The consensus for improvements needed was that:
• Next year's Matinee will need to have Charted Lines.
• Papers will be required for the Charted races and strictly enforced: No papers=No Racing
• The track will have to be measured and have a clear Start and Finish Line in place.
• More volunteer help is desperately needed.
• Better communication between the Fairboard and the Club is desirable.

President Wengerd then wanted to set a date for next years Matinee, but no-one had a 2001 calendar, so the decision was tabled until the next scheduled Meeting. But all those present suggested that the Matinee be scheduled for earlier in May rather than at the end of May as it was this year.

The Officers have decided that the Club's Rules and By-Laws need to be changed and updated this year and have scheduled time in the August meeting to summon members and have a vote to ratify the changes. In the meantime, any Member may ask for a copy of the current Rules and By-Laws and submit in writing the changes they would like considered by the Club.

In closing miscellaneous Club duties were discussed and assigned: updating the Club's Membership list, updating the Club's Web-site, sending Thank-you notes, and preserving this year's race results in the Club's Historical file.

With business concluded the President adjourned the meeting.

The next meeting is scheduled for July 6, 2000 at 5:00PM Barn 28 Wa. Co. Fairgrounds.
